PTO Weekly Submission guidelines
Please send all submissions to [email protected]t - please do not cc individual PTO members, everyone on the board receives the emails.
The PTO Weekly is published by the Portola Valley School District Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) each week during the school year. It is available weekly, online on Parent Square.
The mission of the PTO Weekly is to keep our families up to date with the happenings at Ormondale, Corte Madera, and the Portola Valley School District. It also provides a venue for local community activity and event announcements that directly relate to the TK-8 grade age group and their families.
The PTO Weekly is produced electronically. Submissions to the PTO WEEKLY must be brief: no more than 75 words. Please direct readers to your website for more detail, and include an appropriate link with your submission. Graphics and logos will rarely be used, if ever, so do not include them in your submissions. PTO Weekly Editors reserve the right to modify content for readability and length.
Submissions to the PTO Weekly are due THURSDAY AT NOON, before Sunday release dates. We cannot guarantee inclusion in the Weekly after the deadline. Submissions will only run for the week in which they are submitted. Please do not resend the same submission as we will not include it repeatedly. If you have a major event that needs more than a week’s attention, we suggest you plan ahead and submit the following:
Ormondale and Corte Madera Sections
School-related activities; calendar items; Site Council news; fundraisers specific to one school; teacher or student submissions from each school.
Please include affiliation when submitting (Site Council, PTO, teacher, etc).
Community Section
Only non-profit information or advertisements clearly related to PVSD will be published in the PTO Weekly. This includes: non-commercial community activities and announcements (such as non-profit sports organizations, or local volunteer opportunities); educationally related commercial items (such as after-school classes); activities for children K-8 only.
