Our Mission
The purpose of the Portola Valley Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is to promote and support the education and welfare of the students in the Portola Valley School District and to strengthen the relationship between home and school by facilitating communication and encouraging cooperation among parents, teachers, administrators, the school board and the community. All parents or legal guardians of students who currently attend Ormondale School or Corte Madera School and all current faculty and staff of the PVSD are members in the organization.
There are 3 independent organizations that support our schools:

WHAT DOES THE FOUNDATION (PVSF) DO?
Raising additional funds to benefit Portola Valley schools is the mission of the PVSF. Through generous donations, the non-profit, all-volunteer PVSF is able to contribute approximately 10 percent of the district’s budget annually. This yearly contribution helps fund programs such as STEM and the arts, as well as provide small class sizes, additional teachers, classroom aides, reading specialists, physical education, and music programs — resources that make our schools extraordinary places to learn.
