WELCOME BACK! LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR!
The PV PTO is the Portola Valley Parent-Teacher Organization and is comprised of all parents or legal guardians of students who currently attend Ormondale School or Corte Madera School and all current faculty and staff of the PVSD. Its purpose is to promote and support the education and welfare of the students in the Portola Valley School District and to strengthen the relationship between home and school by facilitating communication and encouraging cooperation among parents, teachers, administrators, the school board and the community. The PTO establishes this intention in numerous ways, including:
Our district thrives on volunteering and unique community participation; thankfully, this year will see so many occasions reemerge and we are ecstatically starting that planning process. Please take a look HERE for all the ways you can be involved this school year. Your involvement in your child’s school does make a difference!
Funds to support all PTO-sponsored programs are generated through direct donations from parents and fundraisers. We are excited about the fundraising events we have planned for this school year. Watch the PTO Weekly for more info!
We ask parents to donate to the PTO in the first few weeks of school to support the coming year’s programs and activities. CLICK HERE TO DONATE. Your financial support is a critical way to ensure that the programs that make our schools (and the PVSD community) so special continue year after year.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact one of us.
Sincerely,
Leigh Pyle, CMS PTO President (cmspto@pvpto.com)
Sarah King, CMS PTO Vice-President
Brittany Zilka, ORM PTO President (ormpto@pvpto.com)
Archana Anand, ORM PTO Vice-President
Amanda Smoot, PTO Treasurer

Please know the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is independent from The Portola Valley Foundation. The Foundation raises additional funds to benefit Portola Valley schools is the mission of the PVSF. Through generous donations, the non-profit, all-volunteer PVSF is able to contribute approximately 10 percent of the district’s budget annually. This yearly contribution helps fund programs such as STEM and the arts, as well as provide small class sizes, additional teachers, classroom aides, reading specialists, physical education, and music programs — resources that make our schools extraordinary places to learn.
